BIBLE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF THE LAST DAYS

REVELATION 20

Satan is bound

Rev. 20:1  And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having

[1] the key of the bottomless pit [the abyss] and

[2] a great chain in his hand.

 20:2  And

[3] he laid hold on the dragon,

[a.] that old serpent [the serpent of old],

[b.] which is the Devil, and

                        [c.] Satan, and

[11.] bound him a thousand years,

 20:3  And

[4] [he] cast him into the bottomless pit [the abyss], and

                        [a.] shut him up, and

[b.] set a seal upon him, that

[11.] he should deceive the nations no more,

[aa.] till [until] the thousand years should be fulfilled: and

[bb.] after that [literally, after these things] he must be loosed a little season.

Judgment is given to the martyrs of Jesus

 20:4  And I saw

            [1] thrones, and

[2] they sat upon them, and

[a.] judgment was given unto them: and

 [I saw]

[3]  the souls of them that were beheaded

[a.] for the witness of Jesus, and

[b.] for the word of God, and

                        [c.] which had not

                                    [11.] worshipped the beast,

                                    [12.] neither [worshipped] his image,

[13.] neither had received [his] mark

                                                [aa.] upon their foreheads, or

                                                [bb.] in their hands; and

                        [d.] they lived and

                        [e.] [they] reigned

[11.] with Christ [the Anointed One]

                                    [12.] a thousand years.

20:5  But the rest of the dead [the unsaved dead]

[1] lived not again [outside of hell]

[a.] until the thousand years were finished.

[11.] This [is] the first resurrection (vs. 4).

20:6    [1] Blessed and

            [2] holy [is]

[a.] he that hath part in the first resurrection:

[11.]  on such the second death hath no power, but

                        [b.] they shall be priests

                                    [11.] of God and

[12.] of Christ [the Anointed One], and

[c.] [they] shall reign with him a thousand years.
