WHAT TIME IT IS
Babylon the great cannot be Jerusalem
18:17 For in
one hour so great riches is come to
nought. And
[1] every shipmaster, and
[2] all the company in ships, and
[3] [all] sailors, and
[4] as many as trade by sea
[this cannot be Jerusalem, for it is an inland city],
[a.] stood
afar off,
18:18 [b] And
cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying,
[11.] What [city is] like unto this great city!
18:19 And they
[1] cast dust on their heads, and
[2] cried, weeping and wailing,
saying, Alas, alas,
[a.] that great city, wherein
were made rich all that had ships in the
sea by reason of her costliness!
[b.] for in one hour is she made desolate.
The wrath of God comes on Babylon the great
18:20 Rejoice
over her,
[1] [thou] heaven, and
[2] [ye] holy apostles and prophets;
for God hath avenged you on her [for causing your deaths].
[1] took up a stone like a great millstone, and
[2] cast [it] into the sea [her destruction comes from the sea],
saying, Thus with violence shall
[a.] that great city Babylon [Babylon the great is a city (c/p. Rev. 14:8; Rev. 16:19; Rev. 18:2; Rev. 18:4, Rev. 18:10, Rev. 18:16)]
[11.]
be thrown
down, and
[12.] shall be found no more at all.
Both commercial Babylon and religious Babylon of the Antichrist's kingdom are located in the same city
Rev. 19:1 And after these things [after John is shown the judgment of Babylon the great: the great commercial center of the earth (Chapter 18)]
[1] I heard a great voice
[a.] of much people in heaven, saying,
[11.] Alleluia;
[12.] Salvation, and
[13.] glory, and
[14.] honour, and
[15.] power,
[aa.] unto the Lord our God:
19:2 For [16.] true and righteous [are] his judgments: for
[aa.] he hath judged the great whore*,
[111.] which did corrupt the earth
[aaa.] with her fornication, and
[ab.] [he] hath avenged the blood [from Abel to the two witnesses]
[111.] of his servants [Israel and the Church]
[aaa.] at her hand.
[*The great whore is: Mystery Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations (Rev. 17:5). In Chapter 18, John has just been shown God’s judgment of Babylon The Great, the world’s great commercial center. Yet, verse 19:2 calls this great commercial center “the great whore.” Both the great religious center (Mystery Babylon The Great), and the great commercial center of the earth (Babylon The Great), therefore, will be located in the same city: Babylon. HERE IS THE GREAT MYSTERY: EACH OF THE 8 GREAT WORLD KINGDOMS (Rev. 17:10-11) HAS HAD OR WILL HAVE ITS GREAT RELIGIOUS WHORE CITY. For the revised Roman Empire that is yet to come, its 10 kings will destroy its great mystery religious city (Rev. 17:16). These kings then will give their power, authority, and kingdom to the Antichrist (Rev. 17:12-14, Rev. 17:16-17), who will form the eighth and final world kingdom to oppress Israel: the revived Grecian Empire. In fulfillment of Bible prophecy (Dan 9:27), the Antichrist will enter Jerusalem and desecrate the rebuilt temple. He will then consolidate church and state in the rebuilt city of Babylon in Iraq. THEN THE GREAT MYSTERY: the spirit of the destroyed Mystery Babylon is resurrected in literal Babylon as the great religious whore city of the revived Grecian Empire. It demands universal worship of the Antichrist. God destroys it under the 7th vial of wrath (Rev. 16:19).]
19:3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever [the smoke of
destroyed Babylon will forever witness to God’s judgment of sin].
[1] harpers, and
[2] musicians, and of
[3] pipers, and
[4] trumpeters,
shall
be heard no more at all in thee; and
[a.]
no craftsman,
[11.] of whatsoever craft [he be],
[12.]
shall be found any more in thee; and
[b.]
the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
18:23
And [c.]
the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and
[d.] the voice
[11.]
of the bridegroom and
[12.]
of the bride
shall
be heard no more at all in thee: for
[aa.] thy merchants were the great men of the
earth; for
[bb.] by thy sorceries [drugs] were all nations deceived.
[1] the blood of
prophets, and
[2] [the blood] of saints, and
of
all that were slain upon the earth.
