EZEKIEL 39 Pg 3

The Lord's Sacrifice is upon the mountains of Israel

39:17  And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD;

            [1] Speak unto

                        [a.] every feathered fowl, and

                        [b.] to every beast of the field,

                                    [11.] Assemble yourselves, and

                                    [12.] come;

                                    [13.] gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice

                                                [aa.] that I do sacrifice for you,

                                                [ab.] [even] a great sacrifice

[111.] upon the mountains of Israel,

[ac.] that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.

 39:18                         [14.] Ye shall

                                                [aa.] eat the flesh of the mighty, and

                                                [ab.] drink the blood

                                                            [111.] of the princes of the earth,

                                                            [112.] of rams,

                                                            [113.] of lambs, and

                                                            [114.] of goats,

                                                            [115.] of bullocks,

[aaa.] all of them fatlings of Bashan.

 39:19  And                [15.] ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and

                                    [16.] [ye shall] drink blood till ye be drunken,

                                                [aa.] of my sacrifice

[111.] which I have sacrificed for you.

 39:20                         [17.] Thus ye shall be filled at my table

                                                [aa.] with horses and

                                                [ab.] [with] chariots,

                                                [ac.] with mighty men, and

                                                [ad.] with all men of war,

                                                            [111.] saith the Lord GOD.

 39:21  And

            [1] I will set my glory among the heathen [the nations], and

            [2] all the heathen shall see [the nations of the world shall watch the fulfillment of Bible prophecy live on satellite TV]

[a.] my judgment

                                    [11.] that I have executed, and

            [3] [all the heathen shall see] my hand

                        [a.] that I have laid upon them.

Israel returns to the Law of Moses

 39:22  So the house of Israel shall know

            [1] that I [am] the LORD their God

[a] from that day and forward.[temple worship and animal sacrifices are reestablished]

The nations give glory to God

 39:23  And the heathen shall know [because of how God has delivered Israel before their very eyes]

            [1] that the house of Israel went into captivity

                        [a.] for their iniquity:

                        [b.] because they trespassed against me, therefore

                                    [11.] hid I my face from them, and

                                    [12.] gave [I] them into the hand of their enemies:

                                                [aa.] so fell they all by the sword.

 39:24  [2] According to their uncleanness and

            [3] according to their transgressions have I

                        [a.] done unto them, and

                        [b.] hid my face from them.

 39:25  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;

            [1] Now will I

                        [a.] bring again the captivity of Jacob, and

[b.] have mercy upon the whole house of Israel [see Two branches of the whole house of Israel; (Ezek 37:11-19), and will

                        [c.] be jealous for my holy name [Jehovah];

 39:26  [2] After that they have borne

                        [a.] their shame, and

                        [b.] all their trespasses

[11] whereby they have trespassed against me,

[aa.] when they dwelt safely in their land [before they were scattered], and

[111.] none made [them] afraid.
