DANIEL 7 Pg 4

 

A further description of revised Rome and revived Greece

 

 7:23  Thus he said,

[1] The fourth beast

[a.] shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which

[b.] shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and

[c.] shall devour the whole earth [the Roman Empire], and

[11.] shall tread it down, and

[12.] break it in pieces.

 7:24  And

[2] the ten horns out of this kingdom [the 10 horns come out of the revised Roman Empire]

[a.] [are] ten kings

[11.] [that] shall arise: and

[b.] another shall rise after them [the little horn / the Antichrist]; and

[11.] he shall be diverse from the first [10 kings], and

[12.] he shall subdue three kings [three of the ten Revised Roman kings are subdued by flattery (Dan. 7:8)].

 

 More persecution of the children of Israel

 

 7:25  And

[1] he shall

[a.] speak [great] words

            [11.] against the most High [Jesus of Nazareth, whose name was hidden in Daniel’s time], and shall

[b.] wear out the saints

            [11.] of the most High [Dan 7:18, Dan 7:21-22; Rev. 12:17, Rev. 13:7], and

[c.] think to change

            [11.] times and laws [marriage: Dan 11:37; Luke 17:28-29; 1 Tim. 4:1-3; c/p. 1 Maccabees 1:41-49]: and

[2] they [the saints of the most high]

[a.] shall be given into his hand until*

[11.] a time and times and the dividing of time [ 3 ½ years (Rev. 13:5-7)].

[*The Antichrist breaks his 7-year covenant with Israel after 3 ½ years (Dan. 9:27).  He will then persecute born again Jews and any other Christians living in the territories of the revived Grecian empire.  These are the saints of the most high of Dan 7:18 and vs. 25.]

The judgment is set

  7:26  But

[1] the judgment shall sit (Dan. 7:10), and

[2] they [the saints of the most high]

[a.] shall take away his dominion**,

[11.] to consume [it] and

[12.] to destroy [it]

[aa.] unto the end. 

[** Although the reign of the Antichrist lasts 1260 days (3 ½ years / 42 months), it appears that a contingent of Jews is able to rescue control of the temple after only 1150 days (2300 evenings and mornings; Dan. 7:25, Dan. 8:13-14; Rev. 11:1-, Rev. 12:6, Rev. 12:14, Rev. 13:5)]

The saints shall rule  

 7:27  And

[1] the kingdom and

[2] dominion, and

[3] the greatness of the kingdom

[a.] under the whole heaven,

{b.] shall be given

[11.] to the people

            [aa.] of the saints of the most High [the woman / the nation Israel, which has been hidden in the wilderness for 3 ½ years (Rev. 12:6, Rev. 12:14)],

[aa.] whose kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom [Israel is promised and everlasting kingdom on the earth], and

[bb.] all dominions shall

[111.] serve and

[112.] obey him [Jesus, the Messiah].

 

 7:28  Hitherto [is] the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.
